What it's for
The main goal is simple: get any content (a link, text, or files) to anyone—or to yourself on another device—as fast and painlessly as possible. No account, no extra app: paste, create a short link, share it.
Everything is deleted after 7 days so old shares don't sit around forever. It's meant for quick handoffs, not for treating the web like long-term storage.
Productivity tip
If you already have a URL open, you can skip copying it into the site: prefix it with 1u.to/ right in the address bar and you'll create a short link in one step (for example 1u.to/https://example.com).
Who built it
Hi—I'm Cody Adam. I built this for myself first: I wanted a dead-simple, privacy-friendly way to fire off links and files without signing into something else. I'm glad it's useful to others too. It stays free; please don't abuse it.
